Health Science Internship (HSI)

Details: The James Clemens Health Science Internship (HSI) program is a selective program at my High school that allows us as high school students to go and visit local hospitals and clinics giving us valuable opportunities to shadow in various healthcare settings. Through this program I have logged over 95 direct patient care hours in real hospital settings.
First Priority of America (FPA)

Details: At this position in my school I was a leader for a club centered around introducing high schoolers to Christianity. This club is called First Priority of America (FPA). As a leader I would plan and participate in our beginning of the week leadership meetings to prepare for our whole FPA meetings. During the FPA meetings I participate in leading worship, leading scripture/ lessons, leading a game/ activity, and leading a small group every week.
JCHS Jets Invest Club

Details: In this club we meet every week and essentially learn about finances, and go through Wall Street Stock market simulations
JCHS Athletic training aid

Details: With athletic training through some programs some of the HSI students are allowed to come to school early and attend football, basketball, etc practices where we shadowed and performed physical therapy for our High schools athletes

Details: In Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) we meet every Friday morning and similar to First Priority talk about Christianity and evangelism throughout the school.
Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA)

Details: In HOSA we are a club that participates in many competitions with different events for HOSA conferences, and participate in various types of volunteer work such as the out of the darkness walk
JCHS Latin Club

Details: After taking Latin club 2 I joined Latin club which is a club where we talk about a lot of things Latin from traditions, to wars, and even festivals such as Saturnalia
JCHS Paws for a cause

Details: In this club on Saturday mornings we volunteer with MARF the Madison Animal Rescue foundation where we try our best to help animals find a good home, and hopefully get them adopted. One example of this was a large Border Collie named Stevie Nicks I introduced to a family that adopted him.
